So far so good with regards to server. It has been left running now for a while, no signs of any problems. Ran a short stress test, would of let it run longer but it was causing the CPU core temps to hit 80 degrees C! the stock intel cooler doesn't seem able to cope with it under heavy load, may be time for another, we'll see.

Compiling a kernel also didn't provide any hiccups.

Will leave it running downstairs and check on it tomorrow. At least I can access it again, and hence access the music and my email again.
