This originally was posted as a blog post, but since I've added a reviews section, though I'd put it in the reviews section where it more properly belongs.

Back in 2009, Kat won tickets to see Funny People (Adam Sandler's new film). I wasn't expecting much from it truth be told, but free? better than staying in doors I felt.

Anyway, met Kat at Five Ways station Monday evening, and then went to the Cineworld there.

First impressions when we took our seats were that Odeon seats are much better. Or at least were a bit more comfortable/wider.

Anyway, film started, seemed the shutters hadn't been taken off so it was cut off at the sides.

That didn't really seem to effect the show I found, Kat was a bit annoyed by it, but I managed to overlook it.

I went to that cinema expecting to see a mediocre at best film. I left feeling I'd seen quite a good film.

Adam Sandler was good in it, as was the rest of the cast. One of the few critisms I could make about it would be that it went on too long. Seth Rogen (Ira Wright) was also good I found.

The stand up comedy parts in it were very funny.

If you're looking for a comedy to see at the cinema, give Funny People a try.

Obviously as the tickets were free I can't rate it for value for money, but I think had I paid I'd of felt it well spent really.
