Site Updates

Expect (when the site is sorted and all pages working again) to see some changes to the look of the site 
I also need to look into upgrading the site to drupal 4.7.x from 4.6.x as it gives many extra features and snazzy new things etc etc. It'll hopefully give me more control and more ability to make the site nicer Till then! 
Also added a new page for the SL-C860 that I've just won on eBay. Looking forward to getting to play with that! wanted a clamshell Zaurus for ages! No other changes made so far. I've been far too busy of late to put much thought to the site due to working more and more. I've added pages to catch people who are going to pages from the old url and haven't updated their bookmarks to stem the flow of log errors I keep getting! please if you've got my site bookmarked, make sure it just points to http://www.geekgothgrrl.co.uk/ not http://www.geekgothgrrl.co.uk/sealdomain/ Thanks I've updated the page on the cats I live with, it was long overdue for an update! and now has a bit of information about Shadow as well as Mystery and Smokey. It also now has a few pictures. Enjoy! I've also added a small page with a couple of links to my last.fm/audioscrobbler charts. So you can keep track of what I listen to. I need to work on trying to properly embed my LiveJournal into this site really. I think I need to create a custom style for it somehow, and make the LiveJournal match the theme of this site. Will work on that at some stage. I've also just now tinkered a little with the menu structure. Should hopefully be set out a bit better. I've also disabled the comments feature, seeing as only I have accounts, seems little point having it unless I give people accounts, which could open a whole can of worms if I wasn't careful!

Easy to see what I've updated now, as I've added a block to show this (partly because I wanted to test a new module).

Been fiddling with themes for the site. The old theme I'd hacked together wouldn't work on 4.7.x so I've played about a bit with others.
I kinda like the layout of this one, but will need to think about the colours. It looks a bit more polished with the flash version, but I do not like flash! vile crap!

Site has been updated to 4.7.x now. A few issues have emerged. So some pages might not appear correctly for now. Working on it though Expect (when the site is sorted and all pages working again) to see some changes to the look of the site 24-06-2006
No updates today I'm afraid. Till things sort themselves out with regards to the cars I'll not be updating the pages on them for a bit. Should have all that sorted by the end of next month hopefully. Not updated in ages have I! oops. Anyway updated the car pages HA Viva, '71 HC Viva, '72 Firenza, '75 HC Viva. Also added two new pages for the cars. '70 HC Viva & '74 Magnum. As well as updating the car pages, I've also updated the Zaurus pages. The SL-5500 has been updated to reflect the fact my own suffered a mishap Also added a new page for the SL-C860 that I've just won on eBay. More done. Minor changes again. Updated the Zaurus page. Also updated the Who Am I?, Sealpup and Polarbear pages (just minor edits to images).23-04-2006
I've updated the car pages with both new images (on some of them) and reduced size images. Hopefully it should be a bit better on smaller screens now! I keep forgetting to check it at lower than the default resolution that I use (1600x1200)! There are new pictures of the Blue HA Viva here and pictures of the Red HC Viva here. As well as those pages, I've also redone the Cats page slightly, again with smaller images (with links to bigger versions) and slightly modified layout. I've still to update the links pages. That can wait for another day though!!17-04-2006
Well I've had a crap night sleep wise! so I've worked a little bit on the site again! I've updated the page I created yesterday on my Zaurus. I love that little thing! if I can get Bluetooth and WiFi working on it I'd be really happy, annoyingly it's not working so well just yet, gah! I've updated the Who am I? page as well. It's not great still. But it is at least more upto date! More still to be done. But no time to do any more now!16-04-2006
Altered and added more pictures to 1975 Vauxhall Viva HC Deluxe. It now has the 'Dashboard' layout rather than 'page' (don't worry if this sounds furren to you, it is just drupal stuff ;)) Enabled the RSS syndication. So you can now get updates to this site via your RSS reader (ie Thunderbird, NetNewsWire, etc).16-04-2006
More added :) 1974 Vauxhall Viva HC SL. A car Paul owned and sold on last year. I've also played about with the settings and changed a couple of the pages from 'page' to 'dashboard' layout. Makes layout stuff easy to manage!16-04-2006
Well! I've been too busy recently to do any updates to this site. But I've tinkered a little today. Updated the 1972 Vauxhall Firenza and 1971 Vauxhall Viva HC pages and added a page on the newly aquired 1964 Viva HA Deluxe. Cute car, eh? :) Still loads to do I suspect. For now it will suffice I guess. Disabled and removed the guestbook feature as it just wasn't working how I wanted it to. Some drupal modules seem to be better than others it seems. Yet more updates today. I got bored and decided to try to spruce the Links section up a little bit. It is still very empty. I just cannnot think straight at present. But stuff is in place to sort out later on. Really need to update the about me pages so they actually reflect recent changes and so on.22-03-2006
Done a few more changes. Added another new module to drupal that allows 'freelinking'. So parts of the site now link together, which seems to work reasonably nicely. It has a few quirks though. But other than the other link going to dead areas it is fine I think. Added a few more pages to flesh out the freelinking.21-03-2006
Yet more updates. I've removed one page and combined it with another to produce just one page on my musical tastes. Much reduced content. I think it covers what it needs to now. Still need to add content to the [[Links]] page. But that can wait till another day. Theres plenty of other pages that need updating too. Some still have the original content from 2 or 3 years ago on! All is heading in the right direction though :) So that makes me happy. I'm still toying with ideas over other content to add. Theres probably plenty I *could* add. But whether I can be bothered is as always a different matter entirely!19-03-2006

Few more updates just done. Updated most of the computer pages as they were woefully out of date. Tidied them up also. Fiddled with the theme a little. I think it looks a bit better now. Not a very big change, but enough to make a slight difference. Should also make the site a bit better on smaller screens. I sometimes forget not everyone uses 1600x1200 resolutions!16-03-2006

I've been tinkering a little. I've changed the favicon.ico file. So hopefully the logo in the top left should appear as the icon for the favourites/bookmarks. Should be a bit better than the default drupal one I've also added a small page with a couple of links to my last.fm/audioscrobbler charts. So you can keep track of what I listen to.
